The latest street-by-street crime data published by the police show that reported crime in our grid of streets was significantly lower in February 2012, the latest month for which figures are available, than the month before. There were 25 recorded crimes in and around our streets in February, as compared to 46 in January.
This was mainly due to a big fall in reported anti-social behaviour (from 10 to 2 reported incidents), but there were also lower reported levels of street robbery (down from 12 to 5 incidents), and burglary (down from 11 to 4 incidents). The next highest category of crime was vehicle crime, of which there were five incidents in February 2012.
Kellett, Mervan and Barnwell Roads came top in the monthly crime league in February.
