Tate Library Brixton Art Workshops continue first Saturday of the month

Jo Spilman/ Friends of Tate library on first Saturday of the month 2pm-4pm lib16lib15run on Saturday July 5th :Silk Painting /August 2nd :Watercolour painting made easy /September 6th : for Lambeth Heritage month Blue plaques /October  4th :Black History Month, Banners and bunting /November 1st: Laminated books/ December 6th: Pop-up cards.  All welcome to art workshops, children under 12 accompanied . Free but donations for materials used are welcome.

Watch out Children at Play next  Sunday June 29th  Launch of ‘Play Street’  Rattray Road, June 29th 2-5pm Children can play with less car interference. No through road between 2and 5pm last Sunday of every month. Bring your space hoppers, Bikes and scooters

Next month there will be Large scale chess, small scale board games this time.  Children  to be  accompanied .

Val and Sylvan  doing a BBQ too to launch the event. Come and find out how you can get involved.

Sunday June 29th watch out children about.

Re: London play in the street. We are starting playtime in Rattray Road between Jelf and Mervan from June 2014 as a once- a-month on last Sunday between 2-5pm road closure

Local children welcome to play safely with parental monitoring. Cars still have access but there is no through traffic between the hours of 2pmImage and 5pm 

A series of street closures for children to play out for an hour or so each month to be monitored by parents has been agreed along the lines of http://www.londonplay.org.uk Streetplay ( see website above) Volunteer stewards are needed to provide regular cover, once a month.  guidelines on Lambeth website http://www.lambeth.gov.uk/parking-transport-and-streets/street-and-road-maintenance/closing-roads-for-play-streets-guide

Tate Library Brixton Saturday 14/06/14 from 2-4pm
