Older vulnerable neighbours

There has been a death on the street. Neighbour Mr Anthony Ansell of Mervan Road.  We all think we care but London is a busy place. No time to stop and check on others who have lived in Brixton for years. Its not that we don’t care but it is difficult to keep up with all the demands. Maggie and Sonia are trying to find out more abut why Anthony Ansell’s passing went unrecorded. There have been facebook mentions.

Maggie found out that Southwark Coroners are dealing with funeral arrangements, if you’d like to know more contact email:  effrablog@gmail.com

Hopefully we can as a community worry about others  left behind. Look out for more information soon.

Yoga and other events local and further afield

Just a gentle reminder that our next Intuitive Painting will take place on March 1st @ Brixton Commnity Base between 2-5pm.

This time we shall be working on balancing the energies of the Heart Chakra.

This energy center relates to emotions like unconditional love, compassion, generosity, selfless service, charity… on the flip side we find sorrow, grief, problems of trust, abandonment…

The heart chakra is the seat of Buddhi, the higher intellect that leads to enlightment, critical thinking, discernment and wisdom.

Should you feel the calling and want to join us on this journey within, please send me an email back and I ll forward a payment request to make booking as fast and easy as possible for you.

For those of you who are interested, I am also starting to teach a Yoga Nidra Course from March 1st to May 24th. It will take place at Zen Yoga studio 7:30-8:30 on alternate Sundays. Please follow the link below for details.
