Black History Month Hip Hop and latest Jamaican novel at Brixton Tate library

This weekend sees a wide range of activities for locals for Black History Month sees on Friday 7th :’What Hip Hop means to me’ at  7pm and on  Saturday  8th Young est signed author to Faber 19 year old Nigerian writer 12pm-1.30pm and later same evening, Kei Miller  a Forward prize winner discusses his latest novel  ‘Augustown’ set in Jamaica. love.lambeth.gov.uk/blackhistorymonth/

There are events in other venues through the month including Black Cultural Archives and of course for those among you f a more protesting variety a ‘Stand Up To Lambeth’ March on Saturday from Windrush Square 12pm to Clapham Common with a family picnic thrown in.

and celebrating women of Lambeth : ‘Its your local Market’ hosts an event at Max Roach park also that afternoon from 1pm
